We fix and repair leather, vinyl, plastic, carpet, fabric and cloth. Burns, tears, cracks, discoloration, pet damage and anything else that can go wrong with these materials, we fix it. See some examples here. How do I learn? For two full weeks you will be trained in the field and in the classroom learning the basics, then applying them in the field, doing actual repairs. This business is not just a science, it is also, partially an art form. Learning every repair in only 2 weeks would be impossible. You will be taught all the principles. Every repair is different and you will learn something new everyday. We will prepare you to succeed in all situations with a solid foundation of knowledge. Why choose school versus a franchise? Knowledge-We are always learning about new techniques and products from all vendors. We teach you how to learn from and buy from these vendors. Franchises buy products in bulk from favorite vendors and tend to use only certain vendors products, thus limiting themselves. If you are part of a franchise and learn of a new and better repair technique, from a different source, you would be out of luck. You may only buy products from the Franchisee. Cost- Franchises charge $25,000-$50,000 to get started. Then you pay royalties on monthly sales (8% in some cases). Also, you must buy products from the franchise, paying their mark-up. Territory-With leather school you are free to do business wherever you want. Having a territory does not limit competition. There is competition everywhere, whether or not someone else from a franchise would operate in your "so called" territory. Territories only benefit the franchiser. You will not be allowed to operate out of you territory. What if you best customer moves? Potential customers are not neatly divided across the nation.
